Rayne Primary and Nursery – A “Good” school OFSTED (2022) where “Pupils follow well-planned ambitious programmes of work and are enthusiastic about their learning. (It is lovely and fun!)”

Welcome to Rayne Primary and Nursery School

We are a single form entry Primary school with a purpose built nursery and are members of the Attain Academy Partnership.

At Rayne Primary and Nursery School, we are very proud of our children and everything that they achieve. We strongly believe that primary education lays the foundations for life-long learning through an engaging and rich curriculum. As our vision statement echoes,  ‘We believe in providing a nurturing, safe, high quality learning environment which enables all children to thrive'. We are committed to promoting our four core values: Collaboration, Aspiration, Resilience and Enjoyment and we are passionate about developing children’s self confidence through developing oracy and opportunities to perform.

Our aim is high quality education and our school is well placed in the heart of Rayne community to provide this. The school has been part of this village since 1878, moving to its present site in Capel Road in 1975. Spacious classrooms, a library, computing suite with relevant IT resources and a parents’ room all mean that we have good facilities to develop a structured and vibrant curriculum to inspire our children and enhance learning. Our children’s emotional and social well being is paramount to us and we want their time at school to be both productive and happy. Positive links between parents and school are vital so we encourage an open flow of communication between school and home so that parents really feel in touch with their child’s development and are part of the school community.

If you would like to find out more about the school then please do not hesitate to contact the school office and we would be happy to show you around so that you can see the school in action. We look forward to meeting you and working with you and your children.
