Rayne Primary and Nursery School

As a parent or guardian of a pupil at Rayne Primary and Nursery School, you automatically become a member of the Parent Staff Association (PSA).  An AGM is held each September to elect a committee and make plans for the coming year’s events – usually a wide variety of functions which seek to bring families and school together as well as to raise funds.  The P.S.A. aims to do all it can to further the education of our children and they deserve all our support.

Money raised by the P.S.A. pays for many extra things we would otherwise be unable to afford, as well as giving support to outings and entertainment.

In its time the PSA has raised thousands of pounds. This money has been spent on equipment and resources to enhance our childrens educational experiences and the school facilities.  

All parents and members of the school community are encouraged to get involved, even if they only have a small amount of time available. Donations from Parents and Friends are extremely important to us; you can donate time, money, items for sale, raffle prizes or by offering up your services and skills.

We are a small and friendly team and we try to meet on a regular basis, usually one a month.

We hold several events throughout the year ranging from Cake Sales, Christmas Events, School Discos and the annual Summer and Christmas Fetes. We are always open to new ideas and would love to hear from you if you have any suggestions.

In the last few years we have donated an outdoor classroom, a new projector and hall equipment, a classroom whiteboard,  a mud kitchen for EYFS, a jungle gym, a sand pit, bean bags, KS1 and KS2 dictionaries, activity tables and benches.  We always endeavour to spend the funds in ways that will benefit children across all areas of the school and curriculum.
